Innovent Capital Group is a single-family office and venture studio focused on incubating and investing in early-stage businesses and leveraging emerging technologies. We are seeking a full-time AI/ML Engineer & Technical Analyst with experience in developing, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs and AI-driven applications. This role involves:
Building and optimizing AI-driven applications
Experimenting with LLMs and emerging AI technologies
Assessing the technical feasibility of early-stage businesses
The ideal candidate has expertise in AI/ML, a strong full-stack engineering background, and the ability to evaluate startups and new technologies from a technical perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development & System Management:
Develop, deploy, and maintain web applications and backend services, including supporting AI/ML use cases
Manage data pipelines, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and cloud-based AI infrastructure
Debug and optimize application performance, API integrations, and user experience
Collaborate with the team to implement new tools and automate workflows
AI/ML Development & Deployment:
Experiment with new AI architectures, frameworks, and techniques to enhance capabilities.
Integrate AI models into production-grade web applications with scalable backend infrastructure.
Stay on top of AI trends and continuously assess the latest advancements in ML/LLMs, informing the wider team and principal of potential use-cases inside the office and as potential ventures.
Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy LLMs and other AI models for practical applications when appropriate
Optimize model performance with practical use cases, reducing latency and improving accuracy and controlling quality
Technical Due Diligence on Early-Stage Businesses:
Evaluate the technology stack, AI architecture, and scalability of seed-stage startups.
Assess code quality, security, and long-term viability of AI-powered business models.
Provide insights into technical risks and feasibility to support investment and incubation decisions.
Qualifications:
AI/ML & LLM Expertise:
Strong background in machine learning, AI, and deep learning, with a focus on implementation, optimization and commercialization of LLMs, NLP, and generative AI
Experience with training and fine-tuning LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Llama, Claude, Mistral, etc.)
Familiarity with AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.)
Strong understanding of vector databases, embeddings, RAG, and multimodal AI
Full-Stack & Cloud Infrastructure:
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and web frameworks (React, FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud AI infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Ability to deploy and manage scalable AI applications using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Venture & Technical Analysis Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess early-stage tech startups
Interest in evaluating technical risks, scalability, and market potential of AI-driven businesses
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and time management skills
Additional Details:
Full-time remote position with EST working hours
$100K - $160K salary range, dependent on experience and other comp
Profit sharing in seed fund and incubations
